Curtis City Council (A Coruña) has granted a building license for the biomass renewable energy production plant that Greenalia Biomass Power SL plans to build in the industrial estate of Teixeiro, and that it will be " the largest in Galicia ".
The estimated execution time is 20 months and the budget of the work amounts to 70 million euros, according to the information provided in a communiqué by the City Council, in which it is highlighted that the grant this week of the license responds to the documentation presented and to the favorable reports of the different competent administrations.
Precisely, the company obtained the administrative authorization of the Xunta de Galicia for its implementation in February of this year.
The plant will be built on a plot of 100,000 square meters that is located in the second phase of the urbanization of the Teixeiro industrial estate. Between its construction and operation will generate, according to the City Council, around 500 jobs.
The company will pay to the municipal accounts "350,000 euros of the rate for rendering urban services". In addition, the City Council is studying the ICIO bonus, established to help the settlement of new companies and the creation of employment and wealth in the municipality and the region.
Curtis' local executive has also made clear that the start of these works will coincide in time with the "already very advanced" execution of the Goodelit dairy plant, also in the Teixeiro polygon, which plans to create 130 direct and 130 indirect jobs.
